This discussion will highlight how several of these challenges and benefits are shared across industry and academia, and how both worlds can work together to exploit synergies. Several of these ideas will be illustrated by examples from the Geographic Data Science Lab at the University of Liverpool and the work done around building a Geographic Data Science.
