Baking Data: Better Data and Better Decisions

In this talk we’ll discuss the most important dataset in America. You are in the data. The data has probably had an impact on your life. However, we’ll show you that this data is broken, explain why its broken, and we’ll discuss algorithms for fixing the data. We'll try to convince you that data its raw form is often problematic and “baking” data can be important part of data-driven decision making. Output from one of the algorithms we’ll discuss is available in Carto’s Data Observatory.
